Welcome to the Internet Voice Campaign!

Plain old telephone service is a thing of the past. Today's consumers communicate in more ways than ever before: over the phone, through e-mail, on Instant Messenger... to name just a few. As the ways in which we communicate continue to evolve, new technologies are opening the door to new ways of interacting with friends, family and colleagues.

At the heart of the communications revolution is Voice over Internet Protocol, or VoIP, a technology that brings together the worlds of voice and data to provide rich, exciting new services that can be delivered over our telephones, mobile phones, PDAs, personal computers, and more.

But many consumers are unfamiliar with how Internet voice works, and the many benefits it can deliver.

To help consumers better understand the monumental role this technology is having on our everyday lives, industry leaders have joined forces to form the Internet Voice Campaign. As part of the VON Coalition, the IVC aims to educate consumers about how Internet voice is changing the very nature of communications.
